Nearly everyone knows that men still out-earn women. In fact, women in similar jobs, with the same amount of seniority and comparable education, still earn only 79 percent of what their male counterparts make.
A study conducted at the University of Florida adds more insight into the inequality. Researchers found that men who held traditional attitudes about gender roles made more money than men who held egalitarian views regarding men and women. And while women with egalitarian points of view earned more than women with traditional attitudes, they still earned less than men.
What that all mean? White it won’t change everything, what you believe you deserve to earn, really does have an effect on your paycheck.
